Dear friends, I'm new on this forum. I am living in London(Originally from India). I did apply for skilled immigrant visa for me and
my wife. She is a Registered Nurse(3152). We have more than 70 point to qualified for this category...

I have sent my file to Canada as Canada home office in London don't accept it here any more, My file was delivered on 2nd week
of Nov  @  CIC canada and so far I haven't received any notification from them. I have given my credit card details to CIC  and
they haven't debited the fee either. Please let me know

1)How long it take to get file number/AOR  from canada?
2)When they gonna take money out of my account?
3) Any Idea how long it take to get visa now a day?
4) What is the exact procedure after you get AOR?

Thanks friends Smiley

Dear friend,
With a little experience, I am writing.I applied on Aug,2010.
1.It take more less 3-4 months for getting file number.
2.They take money in 1-1.5 months after receiving application.
3.It may take 8-12 months.
4.Visa office will communicate you, for further documents, medical request and for passport request.
But, I afraid. According to CIC, in early December,2010, total aaplication no of nurse catagry already filled up ie 1000. Dont be hopeless. check your account if they have taken fee, then you are ok.
Nor, you will be backed your application with in January,2011.
Best wishes

Thanks Ziaul,

You were absolutely right as I have just checked the CIC website.
Actually I m wonder that if they have issue that statement on 22nd Dec
then my file was delivered to CIC Canada on 18th of Nov 2010.

I don't have any idea how does they work as in UK if your file has been
delivered to UKBA on a particular date then they consider it as on the same date.

I you have more information or you know some one has applied on that date then
let me know if they got AOR or any notification from CIC...

Thanks a lot

Hi, I think your file is within the CAP. The 3152 NOC reached 1000 only on the last few days of December. So, dont worry about it.

since your application date was november, then you should not worry coz the door closed on the last week of december. youre very safe. Ofcourse, still it will depend on the completeness of your documents if its incomplete it will be returned immediately but if it is complete you will hear from them after 3-4 months.

Dear Carl,

thanks for reply, I do understand.......I have sent my application after
it was verified by a solicitor (Canada Specialist)... As CIC received it on
19/11/10 and they have neither send it back to me nor take the money..

Finger crossed, I if they will contact me know, soon....
Actually I have put my credit card information for payment...it was a UK
credit card...I hope it would be fine for payment...

I hope we are not pleasing ourself...we need some confirmation from them,
otherwise the situation will be dicey we will be frustrated or confused....!!!

Dear friend i am not making u disappointed but.....as per the spreadsheet i see in this forum mostofus who have paid by CC have been charged by a week time.
if u have mentioned the CC then from my knowledge by this time they should have withdrawn the amount.
But still experts here can suggest u more than me.....
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Hi String...

I am afraid so... My solicitor told me that they took normally
2months to take payment from Credit Card, as it would be a
busy time because of Christmas and New year....
Secondly I have applied under Registered Nurse category and cap is filled...

May be because of long list of applicant in same category there is delay in
payment...I think now I'm pleasing myself.....

Please help me...Any one had paid by CC recently??
uuffffff....!!!!!!!!!!!!
