Hi everybody,

I applied for citizenship on June 20, 2011 from Toronto[Scarborough]. I'm still waiting for any sort of acknowledgement receipt from them. If anybody can tell me how much time approximately they take to send the acknowledgement for the sent applications and documents.

I sent the application package thru express post and online tracking says that they recieved the package.

Thanks to everybody for answer

Atleast for me, it took 8 months to receive an acknowledge receipt. Not to mention the severe delays in the processing. I applied in Nov 2008, and still have not heard anything from anyone !

I guess its just plain bad luck !

It took about a month for me to get my AOR.  I sent mine in in September and just got the AOR today, Oct 24.

I sent my Application in Nov 2009 [St. Clair Office]. It took them a week to send the Acknowledgement letter + book for the test.
Bear in mind that standrads of handling immigration process may change - it's been 2 years since, they may have changed minor response times.
