Canadian Embassy at Washington, DC received my TRV application on 8/14. It has been 10 days and I haven't heard anything back from them. I have a business trip in Canada next week. I am getting a little anxious. Can anyone share their experience on how long you waited?

Thanks.

Are you an American citizen or an immigrant to the US? You might not need a visa if you are.

through mail it takes quite a long time. it's always better to do it in person - you get an answer the same day within an hour

I applied to Seattle office almost a month back. I sent my application through FedEx which was delivered very next day. Since then there has been nothing from their side. I have also provided a pre-paid FedEx envelope with my application. I keep checking the tracking # but nothing. I also sent them an email but no reply from them.

If anybody has gone through similar experience, please share. I'm getting slightly nervous about it. Do I have any other options other than waiting?

Thanks.

To the original poster:

Will you please let us know when you get your passport back? That way I can guess a processing time for my application. I applied on Aug 13 too, but no response so far.

Guys,

You should probably be receiving your passports any time now since as per the processing times posted on the web it takes them about 28 days to process 90(plus/minus)% of the applications.

@  gigifan would it still be on time to do your business trip in Canada?
