I came to quebec on June 6th via airplane from the United States.

I was planning on staying only for a short time but have decided to stay for several months in an apartment.

My passport is stamped (june 6th 2011 entry date) with no other writing on it.

Do I have six months to stay here or does six months have to be specifically allowed by a document.

Once again, stamp date says june 6th entry date nothing else. Am I allowed six months with no additional visa?

Thanks in advance
