From NY, it takes about 2 weeks...

Even if you walk it there, it won't be done on the same day...

Congratulations!!!

I received a letter requesting my (and dependents) passport(s) yesterday!
The letter also requested the CAD$490 fee (or US$415)!

Mailed everything today!!! yeahhhhhhhhh

We are soooooo excited!

All the process took a year for me and my wife.
I applied last year in August! And I'm sending my passports in Aug a year after. Sweeeeet.

Good luck to everybody!

Thank you all.

canadiann, no I have no idea how long it takes to get my passport back.
The letter said 30 BUSINESS days, but I believe that would be worst case scenario.

Two weeks seems to be the 'average' time to receive them back (from this forum).

I will post here when I receive it back.

As promised, I received my passport (and my wife's) today (Friday 8/28).
Sent them to the consulate last Wednesday (8/19) they received the package the day after (Thursday 8/20).

We also sent an USPS priority mail envelope with our passports, so they could mail them back faster (2 days guaranteed, instead of 'USPS first class' which can take 5-7 days).

Uhuuuuu
Alberta here we goooooo.

Good luck to you all.
