I have a question and i would appreciate any any anybody can give me on this.

I married my wife last year in vancouver. I am from the netherlands and i have started the application for permanent residency from here as well. It has been 6 months and i have just had my medical examination done. I just sent out the papers for this back to my wife. does anybody know how long the wait is still after the medical examination? I am very eager to see my wife again.

Thanks

thanks for your fast reply. two months seems so long still, but i guess i have been waiting for 6 months already. hopefully i will be sooner than that. does the fact that i have the medical done mean that i am "pr eapproved"?

yes medical means you are approved and dont have any serious diseases or any diseases which needed immigate surgry , so you are ready to issue visa if your medical is clear,

Just to be clear, Immigration can deny your application at any time up to the time you land.  Normally this doesn't happen, but there have been cases where applicants have been denied at a port of entry.

I am going to send in my medical with my application.  Should I do this or wait till immagration requests for it?  I just want to speed up the process a bit.  We are also paying the fee's when we send in the application.

well Entry Refusal or deny application isnt rule for Immigration only the rule you are speaking about this rule belongs to border Security matters and if you have been some embassies they sometime wrote on Visa section windows that Visa is not guarantee to enter the country so if Border secuirty doubt on you in some matters they can refuse your entry even you have valid visa so its not belongs to his question or case its common for all people who travel abroad for you me and all others its rule for all , and if you not able give good Advise someone then dont make people upset by saying stupid things because people have dreams and hope and long waiting to see their beloved ones, in one setnce you making him worry by saying that they can deny your application and in second you saying normally this doesn't happen, that doesn't make any sense

no you shouldnt not send your medical with your application as they dont accept medical reports from any public health Lab , they have labs and Doctor affiliated with them and they accept only your medical report from them not from you and they have one timeline for every process so nothing can speed up things , you cant send medical by your self from local health lab,

I have a list (that I got off the cic web site) that has the doctor's name and addresses in my area.
Those are the doctor's that I will be getting the medical from. NOT just my family doctor.
Do I still wait? or can I send that in with application?

When in doubt, follow the checklist and instructions.  This forum is not a substitute.

I am going tomorrow to get my medical exam done. It says to bring 5 recent pictures. To clarify, what kind of pictures can these be? For example, can they be from my family Christmas, etc? Or do I need to bring the "headshot" pictures, formatted like Appendix C says? Do they all need to be the same picture?

Can someone clarify? I have to drive about an hour to my closest DMP so I want to be prepared to bring the right supporting documents/materials.

Thanks for any help.

5 identical photos as per appendix C.  (Although they may accept PP photos.)

you should ask the DMP what size they want, when i was calling around, they were all different in their specifications.
