Well, Sorry, but I got offended whether he meant it or not. If he just wants to make a discussion, he can do so without judging someone else's hard work.  I'm sure he is very nice though.

LOL FS definatly isnt the type to mean to offend for sure!! I just now saw your app pics and WOW thats amazing! I happen to think its a little big for my taste but it is incredibly organized. BTW I also used paper clips, and it does state in the immigration guidelines to use them, not staples, so I dont think thats an issue. As a matter of fact I used big beautiful different vibrant colored ones LOL. My husband and I are also from a poor country, and our visa was issued in 4 months so best of luck!!! (maybe my pretty colored paperclips helped!! lol)

And that's where you're totally wrong...it CLEARLY states, anyone who uses "vibrant coloured paperclips" will expect lengthy delays...they need to remove the paint and check it for lead...you're screwed now... Tongue

They were like well anyone who would find these gorgeous clips (on 50% clearance I got like 1000 of them 2 years ago in my supermarket and bought them on a whim) definatly must have a genuine marriage and we must reunite this family ASAP!!!

I have an urgent question...

The sponsor gets 1 sheet of barcodes with signature spot printed on same page. We will attach that.
For the sponsored person / principal applicant, there are 2 sheets that came out for barcodes with the signature spot on the second page. Is that normal? And do we staple those 2 sheets and sign at the second sheet only?

In one of the applicant forms, there is a question for who helped you in interpreting the forms. Write down your name and sign it...

Do you happen to know where that page is contained? I do recall seeing one section for an interpreter to fill out, but it specifically states not to fill it out, only when in an interview (or something along those lines).

dont staple just put the bar code pages on top of everything. You shouldnt use staples anywhere in the application.

It is Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire [IMM 5490] page 6:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5490E.PDF
and it needs to be filled and signed

After we filled the old ones, I preferred to fill the new one. I thought these would make it easy for CIC

I think you did a great job on your application.

One thing, though...I wonder if you've gone a bit overboard?  I mean, if I was the VO, I might think this is a bit too much.  Think about all the time for unbinding those paper clips and sticky labels.  Don't get me wrong, I think you are very organized, but I just wonder if it's too much.

My dad's friend works for CIC (he just remembered this now!!! after weeks of preparation!!!)...his friend said that the best way is to send ALL FORMS loose...no binding at all, as that will only create more work for the VO reviewing the application.  It's best to simply include some form of document list for each set of forms...that way, all the VO needs to do is flip through all the documents and reference the list.  He went on to say that some VOs, when faced with a mountain of documents, will take longer to process the application...if everything is concise and complete, processing times will be much shorter.

Just some helpful advice to others reading this thread.

FS

I really appreciate this additional information! Thank you! If there are any other helpful tips that you know of to speed up the process, I am all ears. Smiley

Peli and everybody,

I'm really confused.

I don't know whether to put my old client ID on form 0008 or not Sad hellllpppp.

From my previous post: I used to have a client ID when I applied for extension when I visited Canada last year. Is this the same Client ID that I should write in form 0008?
