Hi Pelipeli,
I also organised my documents in a similar fashion like yours. Fantastic job in sharing this information to everyone about this. It sort of reaffirms my thoughts how the documents should be organised, and feel more confident after reading your post. You are a good man !!!
My application will be received at CPC on Monday Jan 9, 2012. I am Canadian citizen married to a Filipina. So waiting starts now . Wish everyone the best.
Cheers !!!!!!!
Hi, I'm not a good man, I'm a good woman, hehehe lol Thanks for appreciating, and congrats you will be sending it off on MOnday! Good luck to all of us! Since your app will be forwarded to CEM, You are welcome to join the Manila thread for January 2012 batch: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/january-2012-applicants-manila-visa-office-t92285.0.htmlSorry in advance, we talk in tagalog there but your wife can check it out if she wants =)

Hey guys, another useful tip to share: Ive been reading lots of appeal cases in CanLII website lately ( http://canlii.org/en/index.php ) and its really educational to have an insight as to how VO's study and analyze sponsorship applications and how they decide whether to dismiss or allow an appeal, especially for suspected MOC's. But warning, it may cause paranoia (lol) as you will see how critical and detail oriented VO's are, it makes me want to check again and again and again our application , to make sure there are no errors or inconsistent details that they might see that I didnt, that might cause us to have an interview request One thing i have read much of, they really read relationship essays thoroughly so make sure you and your spouse's essays do not have inconsistent details! Try reading some cases if u have spare time guys. Make sure to refine your search with "immigration, genuine, marriage"

I read this post and got really scared. Over 400 pages, really? So I decided to call CIC and mentiond this post and they said to keep it to minimum. That if everyone sent 400 pages they wouldn't get their job done. So I am happy with my 40 something pages. You should not go crazy with it. All they want are the filled forms with required documents and some pictures and maybe a couple e-mail conversations.
First thing to get information from should be CIC!

It depends on your case and on the visa office that is processing your file. No one going through Ghana, for example, should send in only the minimum. People whose relationships have a lot of 'red flags' should also send in a lot more. I sent in the filled forms with the required documents, some pictures, and some emails, and was refused - one reason cited by the visa officer was that there was not enough documentation that the relationship was genuine.

Agreed. Totally depends which visa office you're working out of. Any developed country will have to provide way less proof than a developing country, especially those where other people have ruined it through marriage fraud and make it a lot more difficult on all of the genuine relationships. Now, sending 500+ photos may be a little excessive, but 100-200 is probably reasonable. It's better to send a little more than too little, as Canadianwoman unfortunately has experience with. It really all depends on the country and the relationship...

I believe what matters is by giving documents as a proof that, spouse/partner have combine their affairs, dependent to each other emotionally, financially... Documents like : joint bank account; insurance policy on which the spouce /partner is the beneficiary; marriage certificate for spouse; receipt in sending money to your partner for conjugal partners; lease/rent contract that both your names/signature appear on it; copy of phone/email/skype/yahoo communication before/during/after start of the relationship;family/friends letters attesting that the relationship is genuine; Receipts of expenses for appliance or anything that you bought or bought of you bought to show that you are building a home; plane tickets of visitatin or trips together and one photo on each occassion that you are together or tegether with the family of each party...
This is what I've done on my application.. Still on a case to case basis though...

WOW SERIOUSLY?! Way to go Kpress! Dampen my "excitement" even before sending it in, calling cic just to make sure that you with your 40 pages is more correct that me with my 400 pages. Tsk tsk. As tink, canadianwoman and visita said, it depends, and ive read enough denied and appeal cases in this forum and in CanLII to know that sometimes people get suspected of MOC because of not enough evidences sent in. I think i would rely more on reading many of members' real experiences of getting denied or interviews or getting requests for more evidences than only ONE cic officer. He/she can't speak for all VO. Word of advice? You should probably read around more, especially on threads talking about denials, interviews and appeals. I have spent four months and counting just reading through this forum and CanLII so i could be as informed as i can with this application. Btw, you got scared with my 400 plus pages? My tough luck that it was my post you saw, You shld probably have seen those who sent in 600 plus ! Maybe that would have you in a panic. As i said, please read around more. Having said this, I am extremely confident in the size of my application. Even though its a bit large, i know that it is large because i have given variety of different evidences, if u have read my original post completely, ul see that i just did not concentrate on photos and conversation evidence, i have examples of more types of evidence. If it would just be 400 plus pages of all chat logs and photos then maybe you could call me "going crazy with it" Having said this, i also read many successful applications with less than 100 pages. Again, it depends on the particular kind of rel'p and visa office you have. I understand if people can get overwhelmed with my application, i even understand that you felt u had to call CIC just to restore your confidence in ur own app. but do u really have to post it here and say cic "wont get their job done" with my 400 plus pages? I did not post here to boast about my app, or to compare with others, maybe i am a little proud, (yeah so what, ive worked so hard for it so im a lil proud) but my intention here is to share helpful info and tips, and Thanks so much again to members who read and posted their appreciation. But nowhere did i say that "guys, u shld send in apps as big as mine so ul get approved" Sorry for ranting, i just felt so bad abt what you posted, but anyways, i wish you luck in your application. Good day!

Tell that to the VO's that some members have encountered asking for more photos and more proof. tell that to those who got interview requests and appeal hearings.

Have a question. On the guide it says: (imm 008)
4.Place the barcode pages on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you will submit it.
Does this mean on top of the entire package or just on top of the sponsored persons applications.
Also I submitted my entire package in and did not put the barcode pages on top but left them in order in the IMM 008 (pages 1-5) Will they still accept my application. I hope they do not send it back because its out of order.

thank you so much for sharing!!!
I am in the process of typing out "how our relationship progressed"....we have all the forms and all the documentation but they are all over the place, I really appreciate you putting this up so now I can follow what you did. It gets so overwhelming sometimes and I don't know where to begin!
good luck with everything!!
