I have recieved reports that Nannies from Hong Kong and Singapore were arriving WITHOUT the right to become Permanent residents leading to rumors of the abolishment of the LCP which Minister Kenney personally denied to me,So I decided to investigate,This is what I discovered,It currently takes almost 2 years for a Nanny visa to get approved and Agencies do not collect their full money until they arrive in Canada,While temporary Foriegn worker visas from Hong Kong and Singapore only take months to process,So some unethical agencies applied for TEMPORARY FORIEGN WORKER visas for these Nannies to get their money earlier,These Nannies DID NOT APPLY for LCP visas but TFW visas,Its not the fault of Canada to deny them the right to apply for PR,Since they NEVER APPLIED to come in as caregivers,Sad But I repeat It is not Canada s fault but the agency eager to get money quickly and the Nanny who did NOT CHECK WHAT KIND OF VISA SHE WAS BEING ISSUED that made these Nannies fail to come in under LCP

Once they are already in Canada, can they apply for the LCP without leaving Canada?

No,Visa is NOT CONVERTIBLE to PR or extendable,They have to leave Canada and re-apply again,This time Maybe they will be more careful after wasting 2 years
