document checklist says: "Submit original fingerprints directly to the authorities conducting the police checks".

what does it really mean? i have to go to police station and request my fingerprints done and what to do with all this next?

I am not 100% sure. I have the same question.
All I did was to search "police records" for chileans ( im from chile) and see what's the exact procedure for a person coming from chile. In my case they dont require finger prints.
I remcomend check in the CIC website and look for your country procedures regarding the police records
