How do you know that the Visa Office rec'd Medicals (outland)??

A couple of questions:
1. From the time that a medical is performed, how long does it take for the medicals to be submitted by the doctor to the Visa Office? They do tests and such so I'm assuming it's a couple of weeks...
2. I see on ecas that my app. is "In Process" but does this mean medicals have been received by the local Visa Office (London in my case)? If not, will ecas ever say "medicals received" or provide any other indication to the same effect? I would like to follow up with the doctor asap if the medicals have somehow not been rec'd.
thanks..

hello,
1. your medicals are usually sent a few days after being done by applicant.
2. it takes from 2 weeks upto a month for visa office to receive them. and as soon as they receive them they are supposed to mention them in ecas, but not all of them do this, usually this info appears on ecas together with the decision made.

From my own experience going 'Outland' through London. When my status in the second column on E-cas (The PR Column) changed to In Process, it also stated that the Medicals had been received when I clicked on the hyper-link. I suppose it depends on how long has elapsed between when you took your medical and when your application arrived at the visa office. I am assuming you get situations where medical paperwork is waiting for the application to effectively catch up with it or the application waiting for the medical paperwork to catch up with it.

question for you arewethereyet : your status was changed to "In Process", and when you clicked on that link, it said Medicals Received??
When I click on the "In Process" link, it just says "We started processing...etc".

they don't always mention about medicals. if they haven't received yours they don't write about it. in our case they also wrote that medicals received.

I probably was not clear enough there, the "Medicals Received" line was listed under "We started processing..."
