how do u know if CIC accepted your application?
what would happen if they don't accept your application? they refund your money back?
what would happen if u don't send IELTS test ?

Not now, if your application is incomplete, i.e. no IELTS then it will be returned as incomplete. |

They send a PER or NER (Positive or Negative Eligibility Review) as a first notice in your application. If they don't approve of your application you will receive NER, PER if OK. It was called "first AOR" in the pre-July 2011 period. Yes, PMM is correct, presently NO IELTS = Incomplete application = Return to Sender |

They send a PER or NER (Positive or Negative Eligibility Review) as a first notice in your application. If they don't approve of your application you will receive NER, PER if OK. It was called "first AOR" in the pre-July 2011 period.
Yes, PMM is correct, presently NO IELTS = Incomplete application = Return to Sender

what does the 1st AOR signifies? does it mean your file has been checked and verified? or the verification of documents start after the 2nd AOR?

1st AOR (first Acknoledgement of reciept) this is will issue by CIO than CIO will initial review and forward your file to local visa office that VO will issue 2nd AOR (some VO not issue 2nd AOR they issue same AOR which is the 1st AOR), even some VO isssue 8 digit client identification number UCI number. yes VO also will reviewed your applicaiton and even VO also have rights to send rejection if VO not satisfied with you application and documents which you submited. You have to wait for AOR/PER/NER untill that you will not be able to know anything.
My application reached there in Oct2011 since then i have no info except receiving information provided by courier company.
Money is refundable in following cases.
1. They returned your application due to incomplete
2. Cap has been reached
There are good ratio of returning application due to incomplete now days.

good to know.. My application has reached them on sep 2011 and received my file number along with my AOR on dec 13 2011, so i guess the next step is for them to send it to VO for furher assessment. Thanks CANVIN |
