Hi, I'm in the process of sponsorizing my wife.

My question is about my income.

I had a job from 2005 to August 2009 with a salary of about $60,000
I've quit this job volontarily to join a business with my friends.
Im not registered anywhere yet as I joined an ongoing partnership and my name is not included anywhere.

Im in the process to fill the IMM5540 questionnaire and I'm not sure what to write at the "are you employed" section and about my salary.

Anyone can help me on this ?

Have you completed tax returns in the last couple of years?  You are supposed to submit an Option C printout with your application.  Spousal sponsorships are financially exempt for sponsorship requirements HOWEVER, at the 2nd stage of processing at the visa office, they can refuse if they believe you and your partner do not make enough money to support yourselves and will have to rely on social assistance.  You could write a letter detailing what you are doing now and how much money you are making.
