How can I update my PR file?

I applied for my PR in Jan 2005 at New Delhi after that
•   I got a child in my family
•   I recieved Student Visa and completed two years of post secondary education. Currently I am in Canada
•   Currently I am on my  one year post graduation work permit

Looking to the above scenario, how can I update my file and what will be the impact of updation on my file?

If you check the receipt/letter of acceptance of your application, there is a format for updating PR file. Alternatively, you can write a letter addressing the visa officer and  mention the birth of the new child. Send birth certificate copy with it. Always mention your file number, date of birth in your application to update the file.
In addition, after sending do not expect that they will confirm you the submission. They will simply put the document in your file.

I am not sure about the impact of such change on PR. However, overall you are in better situation that you are already in Canada and have job experiences. So no worries! Just keep waiting like most of us!

Wish you good luck.
