Im 63 Canadian Citizen ,Jobless, widow for 33 years , and i have 3 kids. My eldest daughter and her family become  a Canadian Citizen just recently, my 2nd daughter is working here in Canada as a live-in caregiver and my youngest son who's 34 years old and deaf and mute is in the Philippines.  My problem is i don't know how can i sponsor my son.  I tried to invite him before that was 3 years ago and he's been REFUSED. The Canadian Embassy send him a letter stating that i didn't satisfied them that my social, family, economic or professional ties were compelling enough to ensure his return to the Philippines. I looking forward that one day someone can help me.  Please give me some advise, what should i do to sponsor him.  If i can't sponsor him is it possible for my eldest daughter to sponsor him? And what are the requirements and who's the right person to talk to if ever...

I just home you give some of your time reading this and i would gladly appreciated if you can give me some advise about my problem.  Thank you so much and God bless you all.

Judging from the information you provided, unfortunately neither your eldest daughter nor you are eligible to sponsor your son to become a permanent resident.

Siblings generally can't sponsor siblings.  I think it's only when the other sibling is the only living relative or some such.

In your case, you could sponsor your son if he has been financial dependent on you since before the age of 22 because of his disability.

I think you're going to need a lawyer just to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.  Since you haven't been living in the Philippines, your son was obviously living with someone else.  So maybe your daughter will play a role in this after all.
