can anybody help me with some immigration problem..pls.. I just got my immigration approved and got my permanent residence status, and i want to ask if there is any way i can sponsor my ex husband for immigration. we stayed together for 2 years before we get married, after a while his family found out about it and did not accept our marriage because of our difference in our nationality. Everything went from bad to worse and they enforced us to get a divorce or they will hurt us both. I saw what they did to my husband and it was horrible, they threaten to send me to jail and all the bad things that i can imagine. We decide to get a divorce after 8 months of marriage. now i want to take him and be together again, but i dont know what to do. Please help me,anybody who can give me any idea on what to do. Thank you

You can not sponsor your ex husband for immigration, only your current husband.  You would have to re-marry him.

Without getting married to him, won't be possible i think, coz you need some sort of documentation of marriage before you can sponsor him !!

I would say, do a very low key marriage in court, without telling anyone. Sponsor him and move to Canada.

I think key word is secrecy, never know what can happen if relatives find out.

Is there any way you can hide the divorce and only present the marriage documents to CIC ? I saw the same thing happening once in a movie when I was a child and it was so heart breaking.

That will be fraud! Great way to lose the PR she just got! Don't confuse movies with reality. The only way to do it is to re-marry your ex husband...

Regards.
