How can I get study visa if I'm already in Canada?

I am from Switzerland, I came Canada as a visitor. As a Swiss I don't need a tourist visa for staying less than 6 months in Canada.
Now I would like to study here and I applied a college program which takes 18 months. the college can give me study permit but I don't know where to apply for student visa.
Do I have to go outside Canada for the student visa application?

You can apply at Border Port, with proof of acceptance, proof of sufficient funds to pay the tuition and $10K for a years living expenses.
