Pls confirm what is the way to confirm aboutn encashment of DD?

U need to ask the bank from where u gt the DD made whether its been encashed or not.

As GRV has already advised, you can confirm it from the bank. Provide the DD number and the date on which the DD was taken, the bank will confirm you whether it is encashed or not.

use any of your bank channels...

call up customer care - NRI dept, and provide the details of the DD - they may take a day or 2 to get back.
walk into the branch - provide a xerox copy of DD and ask for status.
write to them via e-mail and ask for status.

best and most efficient is walking into the branch - but also a time consuming task.
