I have a PhD in biosciences from USA and currently doing postdoc research in a university. Including current job+ PhD (Teaching assistantship), I have 7 years of work experience.
I want to apply for PR for canada based on future job offer.
Now the questions
1) whats the best way to find a job or in other words whether companies in Canada show some interest in hiring foreigners.
2) How long will it take for PR to get approved (when I have a job offer or no job offer)
3) If the PR processing is longer, how long will it take for the whole work VISA thing (not again like USA)
4) Do I need to take english test. I have been in USA for last 7 years.
5) Which one will be easy, less time consuming and best?

Appreciate your replies

Go to monster.com, jobs.ca, etc.  There's no single resource catering to foreigners trying to get a job in Canada.  And Canadian employers would rather find someone local if they can - less paperwork.

The PR and work visas take varying amounts of time.  Check out www.cic.gc.ca to see the range of possible times.

Yes, you'll need to take an English test since the country you grew up in was not English-speaking.

Most people take IELTS - I believe it's required, actually.
