Friends,

I too wish to get an accommodation there. one of the members of this forum advised to look in in craiglist. I have gone through it, there are several suitable ads. try that.

regards
Vaniya

pls be very careful when dealing with properties from craigslist ads. there are lots of people scamming new immigrants, so do your research and investigate all you can about the ad. oh, and never pay deposit without seeing some ID.

Dear Steaky,
Thank you very much for the advise. Normally, what are the docs we need to get a room/ apartment for rent. Would the landlord ask for any credit history?

Usually individual landlord (non management companies) won't ask for credit history.  They would ask you for your passport and questions like what you do for a living that sort of things.
