I am a Canadian citizen. I'm getting married to a filipina  on the 9th of january next yr.
we are planning to have our honeymoon in canada for 2 months.
would the immigration officers allow us?

In order for you to have a honeymoon in Canada you need to sponsor your wife after marriage take place.
You can waste $75.00 by applying for TRV  but your chances granting one is very slim.

another question, what if  she already has  a temporary visit visa stamp in her passport before our marriage,  can she come with me to canada? (attn immofficer)
any response will be greatly appreciated.

I had my honeymoon in Canada, but it wasn't 2 months only 2 weeks with no kinda of vistiors visa ever stamped in my passport tho.

mud, are you a US citizen? Vising Canada is a bit different for citizens of the Philippines Wink

She would need to get a TVR and they would likely not issue it to her, especially if she mentions it's so she can go to Canada with her Canadian husband. They'll suspect she doesn't intend to return.

If her visa is still valid at the time you are married then she may be allowed to come to Canada as a visitor and normally visitors are allowed to stay for 6 months.

Ya thats why i figured it would not be nearly as easy for him as it would have been 4 me.
