Dear All ,

Yesterday , I heard something very strange which could turn my mind 180 degree . alot of friends  who applied old system skilled worker before Feb 2008 telling me that they received letters from their VO about extention another 2 years for their waiting period .? in sequence , it will increase the waiting period for more 2 years .??

I do not read anything formal about this matter .  Please if you have something share it to know if it is true or not .

Did they offer "money back" if someone would want to withdraw in their letter or not, or would they rather hold on to our money which must be yielding enormous interest? Wink

What a joke? Another 2 years after waiting for 4 Years, they must be having a laugh!!! I guess they are deluded and think their is no life outside of Canada or what.

They are really joking with our money. I think if you want to withdraw your application, you have to make sure it is not in process. One of my friends is right now in canada and is looking for a job outside of Canada, and she explains she is tired of doing odd jobs. Waiting for her Citizenship.

Yes, it's true that old applicants will have to wait for 2 years for their application to be processed.
Better to forget immigrating to Canada and look for other countries like Australia or UK.
Still better LIVE HAPPILY IN INDIA. THAT'S THE BEST

Is there a source to this information: Holding 2 years in Pre-C50 ...
I mean the priorities are already gone to FSW I & FSW II, what about those in the old system ...?!

Does this 2yrs hold applied to all VOs ...?!
Gee ...

This is the reply some applicants have received recently from CIC London which has led to the above conclusion:

"to mqhb:

i am a nov 2007 applicant this is the reply i have had from chc london for my email enquiry any clues friends

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry

For Federal Skilled Worker applicants who applied before February 27, 2008.
We have received enough Federal Skilled Worker applications since February 27, 2008 to reach our immigration levels for the next two years. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis. Therefore, few Federal Skilled Worker applications received before February 27, 2008 will be processed this year or next.

The exception is the small number of cases where federal skilled worker applicants have already received instructions to undergo their medical examinations. These applicants should receive a final decision within 12 months of completing their medical examination.

The Action Plan for Faster Immigration has helped reduce application backlogs and wait times. Before the Action Plan was introduced, Canada had a backlog of over 640,000 people in the federal skilled worker category waiting as long as six years to be processed. In just three years, we've been able to get more than 300,000 people out of the lineup - that's close to half those who were waiting.

When a Federal Skilled Worker application is due for assessment, our office will send a letter asking the applicant to submit updated information in support of the application. This new information will be reviewed by an immigration officer who will determine if you meet the requirements for immigration.
Please wait until you receive this letter before providing any new information relating to changes in your personal circumstances, additional dependents, new employment, education or new identity documents.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
Yours sincerely,

Thank you for your information. schwarzeradler!

They mentioned this yr(2011) or next year(2012). that is around 1.5 yr from now.

however, it didn't mention whether this imply to other VOs around the world or just London itself.

Does anyone else get any similar corresponds from other VO?

thanks

Jonathan

Don't bluff. Old cases will not processed for next 2 yrs. That's the strategy used by CIC to reduce backlog.
Nobody can do anything about it.
