Hi I recently had my annual physical exam on our company and a medical finding was that i have high SGPT like double the normal amount. the company doctor said to undergo medication (essentiali) for 6 months then redo the sgpt test.

Would this be a problem or require further tests/monitoring/referral to a specialist on the DMP?

anyone with the same experience or a doctor would be great help. Thanks!

God Bless!

The thing is DMP will  not do sgpt test on your part unless otherwise you declare that you have history of hepatitis, declare that you have sgpt problem. If you declare that you have high sgpt lab test.. expect the following test to be requested by specialist like hepa b/c profile, liver ultrasound , HVB DNA viral load test

Thanks for your reply. I dont have any family history of liver disease or anything to that nature nor drinking any alcohol. I may declare the liver problem considering they will be doing blood extraction so they might see it and If i dont declare it they might consider it serious and would dig deeper into it. Also i'm taking Essentiali 2x a day for 6 months for monitoring by my company doctor.

I hope it goes all well.

thanks

Consult a gastro first or have a repeat liver function test.  sometimes lab tests here is erratic. essentiale is okay, coz its like vitamins for the liver, it may help also. are you overweight? reduce your rice intake, btw, do you notice any yellowish discoloration on your skin and eyes?
