My spouse put in the application to sponsor me about 3 months ago ...we haven't heard from Immigration yet ..but however they've put our information in their system.

I'm stable now financially and out of social assistance. Do I have to inform Immigration? The three months I've been on assistance ...would it affect the permanent residence decision? Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

You better, as it quite possible that CIC may refuse under section 39 in that you are unable to support yourself in Canada.
