hello everyone..i got a refusal of my TRV application without any specific reason just the regulation 179 telling so..so..,and to quote,i have a mistake on filling up the form,i put "permanent resident"rather than "citizen" since i am a legal one..can i possibly re-apply and got approved?what are the informative things i need to provide?i have a canadian fiancee does it make sense when they knew about it since i have told them and he sponsored me?forgive me for my innocence but i have read something like this here..pls help me guys,i know there's someone in here who are in same situation as mine..thanks in advance!

Can you clarify some items.

You and your partner have already applied for PR?
When did you apply?
The mistake on the form regarding your status permanent resident / citizen - of what country ?

So you are a Philippines citizen and you make a mistake on the TRV form.  Is that right?

Sure you can reapply but make sure you provide all information as outlined in the checklist of the TRV application.  Do you mind telling us what regulation 179 telling so...so..?  Do you have other family ties that show strong proof of your residential ties (example job with absence letter) in the Philippines?

hmm,reg.179 sucks(sorry for the word) becoz i have provide all these,,proof of ties,funds,assets,employment status you think my mistake on the immigration status matters?or better go for PR as we're planning now?

I don't think the mistake on your TRV form matters, but reg. 179.  If are like this person below, I would suggest you go for PR:
