help me please..i'm soo confused and afraid..I applied as DH in hongkong and will eventually apply as LIC afterwards.Im using passport as single status.my common law partner and i were planning to get married before leaving philippines.Could this affect my application as LIC ?since i will submit my passport using my maiden name?help me please..

You can place in your application that he is your common law partner so that you can use your maiden name on your application.

Your common law partner should be listed in your application as your common law partner.  If you marry him, you should let CIC know once you have the marriage certificate that you have married.  That doesn't mean you have to change your name though.  In Canada, you are allowed to marry and keep your name.  It is up to you if you want to change.
