I am here on an open work permit as my husband had a closed work permit with a company. Now that the project is over they have laid off. But both our work permits are valid till Dec 31. I have a open work permit and just got an offer from a company for a permanent position. I can work with them till Dec 31 but I want to work longer. What do I do? Should I apply for a closed work permit? or a PR under skilled worker. I am a software engineer and have around 6 years of IT experience in india so I guess I should be eligible for skilled worker. Also eventually I want to get a open work permit for my husband so he can try in other companies. Please suggest what options I have to stay and work here beyond Dec31.
