Med's Request: 10-04-2012

« on: February 05, 2012, 10:14:41 pm »

hello everyone!
so i need answers and alot i have many many questions, please answer them and dont get mad at me for reposting , and please dont respond with a link.
so first all a little information about us
I am Canadian and she is American, both young, she is currently taking her CNA class, so when she does get approved she can get a job easily.

so question number 1!
in total how much money do i need to send in with all the forms?
can i send in all the forms at once, including her PR application?

question 2.
With only being 19, i dont make that much money. I still live with the parents, do i need to meet an finacial requirments at all? I have a job and can support her, and plan on getting a room when she gets herem

question number 3.
We are not married yet, but she is coming up the end of febuary to get married and fill out all the forms with me and everything.
if we fill the inland application can she just stay here, and not leave at all?

Question number 4
How long will it take, for both outland and inland options

question 5,
what kind of forms do we have to send in to prove our relationship?

Unless I'm forgetting something, I believe it is around 1040 you need to send. And yes, all the forms at once.
question 2.

I'm 23, barely working and still living with my parents. Yes you can still sponsor her under married spouse, as there's no financial requirement other than Option C from Revenue Canada from your last filed taxes. You should also include a letter from your parents stating they know about your relationship and will help you out by letting you guys stay there until you get on your feet.
question number 3.

Actually, it's a requirement that she stays in Canada if you apply for inland. She will have to keep applying for extended visitors visa however (75 dollars each time) to be legal in Canada.
Question number 4
How long will it take, for both outland and inland options
The average for inland (From my understanding) is around 2 years. The average for outland (again from my understanding) varies from a few months to a year or more. Honestly, go outland. It's faster, and it's okay if she's still in Canada with you.
question 5,
what kind of forms do we have to send in to prove our relationship?
Marriage certificate is one obviously, plus any form of communication up until she is with you, skype chats, texts, emails, facebook, etc. Photos as well, from before the marriage, of the wedding and after all work really well in your favour.

Good luck Smiley and Welcome!!!

It's a printout of tax information and receipt of social assistance benefits or if you are an undischarged bankrupt.

for #1, add roughly another 500 for medical/fbi checks etc. (depends on which doctor you goto.)

I called a couple places, cheapest was 250, highest was 500+

It is really confusing, feel free to message me should you have any questions Smiley But you have to call Revenue Canada for the sheet, usually will take a week or so to get it.
