Hi, my son has married a Russian girl about 2 years ago, and they have a son together. He lives here in Quebec and she is in Russia, what can he do to bring them here and how long will it take. Need help as fast as posible. One more thing my son was born in Canada, if that helps make the paper work faster.

He needs to apply to sponsor her and their son to come to Canada.  It might take from 6 months to 1 year.  Tell him to go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp  He can find the forms there that he needs.

Probably 1 to 2 months to get all the paperwork you need from Russia.  You will need police check, international passport if she doesn't already have one, and medical done, plus all the translation and notarizations.

During that time you can fill out the forms needed for Canada and have them ready.

Then it will be 6 to 12 months once the application is with the Canadian government.
