I had win the appeal last month.  I sponsored my husband from sri lanka.  his visa was refused.  I won the appeal last month.  How long does it take to re open the file  in Sri Lanka?  Does any one have experience in appeal process?

Does they change the last file number?

Thanks

My understanding is, the file has to go back to the visa office, and should not be put at the back of the pile.  I have also heard that even when you win an appeal it can take another year or so to reprocess the file.  Depending on the Visa office it could be faster or slower

Thanks PMM...my bad, but as for timeline, they could still be looking a while down the road after an appeal, is that correct understanding of the new process
