I am an American and I have been dating a Canadian for 6 yrs.  We met online, and I know that is frowned upon.  We want to get married next August, and I want to move to Canada.  I was wondering the best way to go about it, and what to expect this process really scares me! any advice would help!

What makes you SCARED about this process????? Read the CIC website and follow the procedures/instructions...... Apply and then wait in line as others are waiting...........SIMPLE.

As the last guy said, there is nothing to be scared about. We are all in the same position and you certainly would not be the first guy to get a visa who met their partner online.

I think you meant to say daunting, and this I agree wholeheartedly.

Instead of wasting energy worrying, start the process and everything will fall into place. Every journey starts with a single step.
