Help Required !!!! Indirect Flight to Toronoto VIA London from islamabad

Hello friends......

just would like to know that if i take the indirect flight to toronto via London Uk......will Uk immigiration allow me to take the transit for two to three days....I just want to visit my friends and ex university fellows....

If yes...do i have to take Transit Visa at the airport......

If Not then what do i have to do to get the Transit Visa...what is the General Criteria of British Transit Visa.....is it easy to get the visa? and what is the total number of day for the processing of Transit Visa from pakistan...

Anyone who has experienced this ..plz share ur views...

You need a visa and since you would be in the UK for more than 48 hours, you require a regular visitor visa.  You have to apply in advance at UK consulate in your home country.

OH God...Tht means i have to apply for another visa process..My application for canada is still not finalised and if i apply for UK ..it means i am gonna miss my classes as i need to be in canada before 9th jan......

Guys any other option..how about even if i wanna stay in Uk only for one day.....still i have to apply for Transit..... ?
