hi! im new to this forum, i am hoping to submit my application for PR shortly but i need to clear up a few issues with proof of funds first of all.
can someone give me an idea of roughly how far into the process do they ask for proof of funds.

what i mean is....is it one of the first things they request, or much later?

i do not have the full amount needed to land ($10168) just yet but am working hard on it! i understand an exact timescale is impossible but any opinions/knowledge would be appreciated. im from N/Ireland so will be applying through the London office.

If you want to have your application reviewed and the process to go smoothly, here, is what I advise always everyone.

You submit everything they ask for at the very first time. Medical, fingerprints, police certificate, copies of your diplomas, certificates, (make sure you always have a notary public stamp them as proof they are authentic)

Your original birth certificate, job references, character references, volunteer letters if you have done any, birth certificates and pictures of your parents, siblings, on a separate sheet write who they are married to, how many children, where the work, the address, what type of work they do, their height and color hair and eyes.

If any of your parents, siblings are deceased, a original copy of the deceased paper.

If you have never been married and have children out of wedlock..very important to state it and include the birth certificates of said children, who is their mother, where she lives and where the children are also.

If your are divorced, proof of divorce, marraige certificate

If you have any assets that you can sell to put into your bank account..do so, or and make a list of all the assets that you could sell if it was necessary.

If you own property..send in a copy of ownership, car..same thing.

Writing a cover letter why you want to go and live in Canada is good and state that you are willing to go work and live in any province in Canada. That could help the process as some provinces are in need of people and immigration will look favorably at a candidate that is willing to go to any province in Canada where one is needed. After one year, if you wish to move somewhere else..you can.

If you have friends or relatives ..make sure you write their names, addresses phone number, and where they work, number, address phone. Their age, date of birth and where born.

Pay the entire immigration fees upfront..saves time and money and if u r not accepted they would refund you except for application fees.
