Help needed - FBI certificate with fingerprints

My wife is a U.S. Citizen and lives with me in Toronto. She needs the FBI certificate with fingerprints for immigrate to Canada.

Could we just download those fingerprint cards from the FBI website and doing it by some agencies in Toronto, then mail them to FBI.

or

We have to go to U.S. (buffalo) to get the fingerprints?


Can anyone tell me some address and phone no. of those agencies in Toronto or buffalo?

Look up Corp of Commissionaires, they have the forms and everything you need.

Note that the FBI does not absolutely require that you use their form.  They accepted my prints on the form that my local police station (Ontario) uses for fingerprinting.

7. Can I use the fingerprint card I download from this site?

Yes, the CJIS Division will accept the downloaded paper fingerprint card only for the purpose of requesting a FBI Identification Record for personal review. Although, if you go to a law enforcement agency or private fingerprinting agency to be fingerprinted they may prefer to use a fingerprint card on standard card stock. You may use the fingerprint card provided by the printing agency.
