I am planning to apply for Canada PR from USA.  I have all the documents ready with me to submit to immigration office  @  Buffalo.

Question is : I am in the process of getting the police clearance from all the countries that I live, it may take 2+ months, I don't want to wait till that happen. So I am planning to send my documents first and send the PC docs later.  Is it possible ?? If so how do they link my PC docs to my other ones. ?

Please advice.

Thanks,

Thats not recommended. Your documents should ALL go in one pile to avoid complications unless you can give them some very good reason for not including Police clearances. Immigration officials dont usually go out of their way to 'link' documents the way you are suggesting.

It would actually slow down your application because they would be communicating with you with whatever additional documents  needed and they use the SNAIL mail :( to do it.

To my knowledge, please do not submit the police clearance documents now itself. The reason is, immigration officials do not consider a PCC older than 3 months, to be valid. I recieved this information from a friend who was successful in his application and also few discussions in this forum confirmed it.

Your process will take at least 3 months. By that time, the PCC will be invalid, so you will have to take a new one. Go ahead and submit your documents now. When they need the PCC, they will ask for it.
