This is from one of qorax messages :
"The Process in a Nutshell
Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Eligibility Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >
Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Qualitative Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >
Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR** > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".

This might sound stupid but what do these abbrviation stand for :CIO , CHC, RPRF , PSDEC , BF'D ,PPR , COPR ?

Thanks a lot.

CIO = Centralized Intake Office in Sydney Nova scotia - where you sent your application. Sometimes it is mentioned as CIU (Centralized Intake Unit).

CHC = Canadian High Commission - refers to the Canadian embassies, Visa offices, and Consulates.

AOR = Acknowledgement of receipt letter.

RPRF = Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

PSDEC = Pre selection Decision - usually you see this if you order CAIPS Notes. It refers to the intial approval/refusal of the application.

BF'D = Bring forward date - usually you see this if you order CAIPS Notes - it is the date when they start looking at your file in each stage of the process of your application.

PPR =  Passport Request letter.

COPR = Conformation of Permanent Residence letter.

POF = Proof of funds.

POE = Port of entry.

CAIPS = Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System - The software used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Canadian diplomatic missions to track visa applications.
