Hi all,
My wife has sponsored me under family class. Mississauga part of my application was approved on 31st march 2009 and sent to Bufflao on 3rd April. Buffalo started processing on 7th May 2009 and then transfered my file to local consulate (Los angeles) on 13th May 2009.
This is all i got so far. Anyone has any idea how long LA consulate take to process Spouse case or anyone want to share his/her experience whose file is processed through LA consulate. I need your help guys, please help me.
Thanks,
Gill81

Impossible to say with no information on your case. Let's put it this way - if your application is straight forward and you have incldued all the documents and information CIC has asked for, paid all fees upfront you will probably get your Passport Request Aug/Sept.

This doesn't say much, as it's only one case, but someone from another forum got their application transfered to LA on April 22nd. June 22nd, they had their visa in their hands. It was a common-law application.
So, it could happen you'll be getting something soon. But, as GK said, it depends largely on how well put together your application is and what the circumstances in your case are. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your reply
My case is straight forward too...This is our first marriage and i have provided all the documents with all the pictures and stuff.. just wondering why they take so much time to process straight forward case..
problem i'm having is, right now i'm in Canada with my wife and my tourist is expiring last week of this month... i have H1B and was working in US.. I left my job and moved with my wife.. i thought everything will be done quickly.. but now i'm confused.. i dont know what to do.. with the situation i got, i'm planning to go back to US ... due to recession US homeland security is giving hard time at the borders to re-enter to US...
if you have any idea how to tackle with this situation then please guide me
Thanks,

My case took 90 days to process start to end (Buffalo > Detroit). Don't know what to say... You shouldn't have left the US although I understand how difficult it is to be separated. The problem would come into place if you were called for an interview and wouldn't be allowed back into the US.
