Good night. I'm planning to settle in Montreal by the beginning of spring 2010 and I would really appreciate if somebody could give me any advice on getting a job in the medical field, maybe as a medical assistant or as a health care interpreter english-spanish. I'm still studying french, but I don't have the required level to work as an interpreter in that language yet. I kindly appreciate in advance any help.
Thanks

Hi,

I think you will have a difficult time finding jobs of this nature in Montreal without at least functional French. Try this http://www.alternacare.ca/default.aspx?ln=fr-CA&ct=4. They are an agency that offers nurse's aid courses. You can get your foot in the door that way and work flexible schedule while perfecting your French.

Good Luck.
