Health Issue - TB - Please Help!!

Dear Friends,

Thanks for an excellent guidance on the forum!!

My medical was done in Nov 2009 - All clear and I received my Visa in May 2010. But, unfortunately, in July, I have been diagnosed with TB (Tuberculosis). It is not contagious. At present, I am under six months treatments i.e. until Jan 2011.

I am planning to do my first landing in Oct. But, I am concern, what impact my current illness will have, when IO will ask me about my health, when I land in Oct?

Can IO refuse an entry, as I have TB???

If you disclose you are going to be returned from the airport. Nobody asks personally at airport but you will have to give written answers to few questions and TB infection is one of the question. Get it cured and then land or land and return back for treatment.

Unless you look very sick, I doubt if the IO will ask you about your health. Every forum member who has landed shared that questions that were usually asked by the IO during landing are questions related to proof of funds and mailing address in Canada. Nobody shared that they were being asked about their health, especially if and when your medical exams are still valid(within 1 year)during your landing.

Landed immigrants, please share your landing experience if somebody was asked about one's health...

I think its pretty clear if your medical exams are clear then y u r worried, u r legally clear to enter Canada. So, for the sake of your health get treatment and dont bother IO. Medical exams are only authority for health issues.

No worries, I have the same problem I landed one month before. The best solution is land and than come back.

One form of survillance given to you to contact. Afte landing contact them and tell them you are on survillance. They will ask you either to go for medical privately or wait till you get the OHIP card that usually takes minimium 03 months time. So no need to worry.

Or do the landing and come back when you think you are finally fit to go than complete your survillance procedure.

As long as it is not active no one say anything to you.

Airport no one will ask you on your survillance details. This is not there concern

Pls friends help me in my medical concern:

I had my x-ray result last Aug. 2010 and found out that I had Minimal PTB, my sputum smear (3 consecutive takes) result was negative, I dont have cough, phlegm, back pains and any other symptoms. All my laboratories are normal.  My DMP said that I will undergo medication for 6 mons. Is this a ground for visa refusal?? I am so worried.. What would be the response of the VO/Embassy doctor if they found out that the applicant is positive for PTB? Am I "inadmissable" to Canada?

Pls anybody had an idea of this... share it plsssss.. God bless.
