Has anyone submitted scanned copies to London n got accepted?

Hi everyone,
I need to submit proof of my relationship with my brother in Canada.My brother has send me scanned copies of all the required documents.Kindly advise are scanned copies good enough or it s necessary to submit PHOTO COPIES only.Anyone who submitted scanned copies and those were accepted by CIC,plz share ur experiences.

Once in paper form (either scanned copy printed on paper, or photocopied), how can one differentiate between the two?

I guess both would look the same in the eyes of IO.
