I received the medical request for the first time in the first week of October, 2009. Then they asked me for a follow up medical for sputum culture and repeat chest x-ray. I have a scar in my chest which is a self healed TB scar. I have never been treated for TB in the past. The specialist ruled out active TB and the report was sent to the CHC ND in January. Now after 6 months (in July) I got another medical furtherance letter for the same sputum culture and repeat chest x-ray. I am now waiting for the sputum culture report which will be available next week. I am really stressed out. Why do they need this sputum culture and chest x-ray again? Has anyone been through similar experience and received visa? Please share.

Thanking you in advance.

Dear Prsh_Patel,

Is this the third medical request? When was your first one?
Yes, I have submitted my PP along with the first medical in October, 2009.

Hi,

A 2nd furtherance on Inactive TB is pretty much rare. Nonetheless, as yours is a latent case & confirmed to be Inactive in the 1st instance, relax! Go ahead with this addnl request as well & it'd be fine. Yes, u have a bit of unusualness in your case & there's an extra delay. But u'd succeed eventually.

Good Luck!

Don't open that letter & deliver it intact after visiting your DMP. They may provide u an appointment later (for the reTests), but submitting that envelope is your duty.

Dear Greystorm,
Do not open the letter as Master Qorax said. Only the DMP is supposed to open that letter. If it is possible go to the clinic yourself and show them the letter and ask for an appointment or else you can email the letter from the CHC (not the sealed one) to them and book an appointment instead. That should do.

Thank you for your response Qorax. Yes, the delay is killing me. The recent x-ray shows that the TB scar is rather healing compared to the one taken 6 months ago according to one radiologist and the initial sputum report is also negative.
