People who applied on Jan 16 are getting nomination but if your application reached there on Jan 16. I applied on Jan 16 but actually application reached on Jan 22. These days were critical because some Jan people got file number around 2/19 but Jan 22 onward people got file number on 3/19. I don't think 3/19 batch have a decision yet and hopefully you are in 3/19 batch and might hear a decision next month without file number.

I am pretty sure all the people who applied in Jan will get a decision by May 31st i.e. end of 4 month period.

We can only hope that is true.

Our application reached on Jan 26 (New Process, no pre-assessment) and we only got our file number last week.  Looks like applicants under the new process are in for a loong wait for the nomination.

Divagirl, I am in the same boat as you. I apllied in Jan second week and  No file number yet, although I received an email to send a letter from my employer in the early march.I responded them quickly.
There was other guy "coolkarma" who received the same query. I am not sure whether he got the file number (or nomination)..

Sorted by File #  recd date...  Folks, please see the pattern for file # recd date.    File #s were given to pre-assessment folks ahead of new process cases (at least to the level possible). And certificates appear to be coming in that order too.

Yesterday, Despo got his nomination and his file number was 552

HI Divagirl,

I sent my file on January 19 and they received on January 20.
I got my fil enumber already on April 23 eventhough they generated the file number on march 3.
I believe they have generated a file number for you also but they did not tell you yet.

SO hopefully in May you will get yours
