Thanks for your reply Albertagoverner!!!!. Also for all applicants before Feb 19th is AINP asking for the most recent paystubs???

Yes AINP is asking about paystubs from all applicant even who applied before 19th Feb. Because The applicant whose status is somehow maintained now (Means they have current paystub) are under Buffalo CIC Jurisdiction and thier Certificate will also be mailed from Edmonton to Buffalo. Those who were "in status" at the time of application but now victim of economic Downturn/Laid Off/Out of Status are under Home Country Canadian Consulate Jurisdiction. Therefore thier Certficates will be mailed from Edmonton to Home Country Canadian Consulate.

Albertagoverner,

Pls dont make point blank stmts. We know that you joined this forum on Jan 7th and have also applied under AINP. You are giving false hope to people who are eagerly just accepting whatever you say to console themselves. Please make stmts only that you are 100% sure of. It could mislead somebody.

divagirl,

I totally agree with you. Lets not misguide if we dont have authentic info.

Ok, I talked to the AINP just now and they said that if everything is in order, you may not get your file number and would receive the nomination letter directly and not to panic as it is not yet 5 months since the date you applied (my appln was rcvd on Jan 16th).

So folks, dont expect a file number under the new process and keep checking your snail mail boxes according to them.

Divagirl,

Thank you for posting the gist of your conversation with AINP.

In these times of great uncertainty there is one more element added to the mix by AINP.  Waiting for 5 months to see if we get the nomination.  Well, at least we can replace panic with anxiousness, at this point they are all interchangeable emotions.

Cheers,

All, Albertagoverner

Can any body explain employment requiremtns which come under 2173 Software Engineer and Designer, whether we need nay Engineering license to qualify for NOC 2173?

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2173

Employment requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.

  • A master's or doctoral degree in a related discipline may be required.

  • Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Engineers are eligible for registration following graduation from an accredited educational program, three or four years of supervised work experience in engineering and passing a professional practice examination.
  • Experience as a computer programmer is usually required.

Checking the process of nomination, I think we should prepared for the delay.
The nomination started from Aug. 2008, it has been seven months and the proved numbers is around 550.
It is ca. 80 cases per month, not considering the overwhelming applications after Jan. 2009.
So take this into account, the nomination for 84X would be in 300/80, ca. 4 month from here.
That is Aug. 2008, and the ones after me, would be even longer.
Correct me if I am wrong.
