I heard from my friend's colleague who has been crucnhing US grren card EB2 and EB3 numbers for last 10 years  that due to very few US green card applications since 2007 there would be a major movement sometime between June 2010 -Sept 2010 , ie., many would be receiving green cards and many more will have oppurtunity to file their I-485.

I tried debating with him about the volume of 485s filed in the year 2007 and all that and he said that those 485s filed up until August 2007 would be like impacted during this year, by being impacted he meant we might have oppurtunities to file i-485 for primary as well as dependants then procure EAD and switch employers as well as those already filed will start seeing the file movement and some might get their green cards.

This is just some information from someone who has been crunching green card numbers for last 10 years and he himself got his GC recently. This person is neither qualified nor recognized as a source of any such information, this information just keeps our hopes high and help us not get distressed. Therefore this is not from an expert is just an ordinary guy like us.

thank you

Oh puhleeze, not another rumor mongering on US Green Card... The less said about it the better... You are not doing anyone any iota of good by posting these kind of messages... Stop living in fools' paradise...

I am sorry that it is painful for your to be hearing anything about Green Card.

"The less said about it the better" ? why not try "the less heard about it the better".

Who are you to be judging about how much good  I am doing for anyone by posting this kind of messages?

You please keep your opinions to yourself ,by not doing so you are living in a fool's paradise.

We are not participating in this forum to take all this good for nothing rhetoric from you , we are all immigrants trying to settle down successfully either in Canada or in USA , if one learns something I believe that it should be share.

Lastly , if everyone feels the same as "car33r"  then I apologize and would withdraw from this forum. Please let me know.

Hello again...I have a somewhat lame question: The doc request email that I received stated that they preferred an email reply. For those of you who got that same email, did you just hit reply and attach the required docs or is there another AINP email address that I have somehow missed? Please help., and Thanks!!

Hoogirl,
Reply to the email is what you need to do.
This email is from the program officer who is evaluating your case.
So send email to this address.

Hope this helps

http://www.cicnews.com/2010/03/alberta-immigrant-nominee-program-buyer-beware-03766.html

A good number of qualified candidates applying to immigrate to Canada under the US Visa-Holders category of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) Strategic Recruitment Stream were told this month that their files were being closed due to the current economic climate in the province of Alberta. The affected applicants are largely professionals in the Information Technology sector. Canadian Immigration Attorney David Cohen has retained legal counsel in Alberta for the purpose of filing a Class Action lawsuit against the Alberta Immigration Minister on behalf of his clients, whose applications were unexpectedly closed by the Alberta government.

I think AINP should have never been free ... at least it would have discouraged all those people who just wanted to backup or even backup of a backup ... even I know few ppl like this.

If it was not free, people like us who really need it, and would have landed given a chance, would have got nomination.

What ever mess with AINP  has to happen has happened. Now its time for loss consolidation.

Who ever has gone through protech immigration services to apply for this AINP program Please contact me at
prakashvele @ gmail.com.   We have a bunch of applicants who paid 1800 dollars piece for this useless program . Since this mess happened their tone has changed little bit regarding refund policy. So we want to keep track of all the applicants on our next course of action.

Please do mail me at prakashvele @ gmail.com

nervoush1, i am also in the same boat as you. I just called them and they said exactly what  you mentioned in the post. I am now really worried about my money. Now i am repenting for my hasty decision to go through Protech. What should be our course of action..?
