Hi Guys,

I am in NJ...Did anybody try to sbumit application for Indian PCC.... if so where did u get the photos taken... Its says that we need to have 3.5*3.5cm with white background... I checked in sears and picture people and they told that they dont have such a template... any advice is appreciated...

If you have a photo you can do it by yourself on http://www.epassportphoto.com/ . If you dont have one you can take it by yourself with any digital camera.

I sent the figerprints to the fbi last week using usps all i get when i search and track is this:

Class: Priority Mail®

I think ZIPCODE is 26306 not 26301 might be that could be the issue ...
check in http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm

I have a question. When did you receive your nomination package by mail? (Is 1/7/2010 the date written on your nomination certificate?)

Nomination package received on 1/16/2010 with 1/7/2010 as the Nomination Date. Nomination expires 6 months from then, which is 7/6/2010.

It seems like the nomination process is going a bit slowler than the time guideline published by AINP.
I applied in July 2009, no file # yet. Funny thing is I received an e-mail requesting additional docs.

If anyone applied in July and received your file number, please respond.

I also submitted on 4/14/2009, got file no. on the same date and file no. difference is like 5-7

I am not sure if anyone is running into the same problem,
but today i went to notarize birth and marriage certificate for me and my wife, but the lady wasn't able to do that, the originals are copies in arabic and i have them translated into english. she said it is against the california law to notarize birth and marriage certificates.
what should i do in this case?
or do the copies of passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police records have to be notarized?
please advise

For CIC they do not require notarized copy.
Where did u go to get it notarized?  I faced the same problem to get doc notarized (not related to CIC application)... california has many laws and sometimes people (notary in this case) take advantage of getting away without doing their job.... it is not possible that CA notary are not authorized to notarized birth/marriage certificate.... i had similar problem but i was after the life of that notary till i got what i wanted - i was not ready to take a 'NO'...but for this had to talk to many upper layers of management....the notary was upset but i couldn't care less.  Which city in CA are u talking abt - hope it is not the same notary

i submitted my application thru a lawyer, would they get the request or will i get from canadian authorities?
