Hi, friends:
I am new here...
I am thinking of applying Alberta PNP.
a question: What if I fail to maintain my H1B status before the final decision? Is there any way that AINP would be aware of this situation?
Do we have to notice ANIP about our status changes?
YOUR HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
You have to inform AINP about your immigration status and under the new rules you must be working in an H1B job while the final decision is made.

Lately, I see a lot of people having the same concern. In this economy it is quite common. I think AINP should have kept the old rule of maintaining H1B at the time of applying and not until the time of final decision. They should have seen this coming. Common, then why they even target H1B ? If everything is going fine for someone In USA with job then why would they even consider AINP in the first place unless they are close to completing 6 years of H1B or having trouble with Green Card. How many of you who have plenty of time left in your H1B and have a job really want to take this path ? This may be become another waste of time like where lot of people got their PR card in Skilled category and did not move to Canada because everything was alright for them in US.

Agree with you completely....! For some reason it feels like every day one of us sends them a question .... Like ummmm... what if my H1-b expires before decision? Do I need to send FBI report and PCC report? What if my I-94 is expired? What if I want to move somewhere else after I get to Alberta? Can I work at pizza hut delivering pizza even though I am applying under NOC 2171or 21108 whatever? How much money in my account there should be? My wife is on H4 here can she work over there? I have been on the bench for last 6 months and my company wouldn't give me any paystubs? Do I really need to send a letter from my company because I do not want them to know .........GOSH Man what the Frack!! And for each one of these questions they make a new rule and make things more complicated. For example adding that new part in the application where new applicants have to demonstrate your willingness to populate Alberta only, or where they have rejected a couple of ppl here based on the fact that job description was not written exactly the way they want.... In the beginning it was a simple process i.e. if you have worked on H1-B for 1 year in the US, then you are more than welcome to apply and immigrate to Alberta.... Fill out the application which was simple enough and that's it..........! On top of that, administration at the AINP office comes up with these creative ideas to give us all such a hard time coming over there.... I mean we are all H1-Bs and there is a huge chance that we have got some extraordinary skills, USCIS didn't just picked us up in some random lottery, we did go through some exhaustive paper work and credential verification and are contributing in the betterment of the worse economy and paying taxes rather than collecting unemployment checks like over 2.5 million other Americans are.... OK maybe I'd feel a little better now... I just had to say things didn't mean to offend anyone though ... I know we all are worried about unexpected circumstances these days and want to secure our futures.

well said sirsmak, people ask some dummy questions..and should not just send what CIC exactly need..and may be or may be not..but this may be the reason that waste there time as well as they come up with new restrictions... people do not even go first on there website and see what document exactly they need...and i am sure about there process is very fine tuned..and CIC knows what they need..but still then we just do not send them what document they want but rather just ask some fancy questions which may be not even related to CIC..one guy was asking how to fill the forms..now common..you are H1B..skilled worker..if you dont even know how to fill the form..then ...(no bad feeling for anyone..everyone needs help..but it should be given when one is realy done his best to find that)

What is the last reported application number that has received nomination?
My file number was 516, and I got nomination. My AINP application reached them on 12/15/08. [/quot
nomad_musafir,
Can you tell what was your overall timeline till you got nomination including date on nomination letter. Did they ask for any other document?

Hi, Friends:
Thanks a lot for your replies.
Right now I am working on my application ainp 009 form. I have a question on Section B.
I submitted my application for federal skill workers in May 2008. My job is not in the 38 list, therefore, I am out of the game...
I have yet received any message from CIC regarding the refund (reject) and I have yet contact CIC either.
Is anyone here in the similar situation? What did you put in item d Status of application?
Thank you so much for your help.

I think during these two days AINP has sent out ca. 200 file numbers. (670-828) Maybe they are working batch by batch. After this batch, we need to wait some time for another batch of file numbers while they work on the nomination letters for this batch. Just my 2 cents.

Lawyer makes no difference in any process. People who applied without lawyer got nomination sucessfully. My opinion about lawyer is bad in case of normal circumstances. Untill there is extremely complex and exceptional circumstances I would never hire a lawyer. Often lawyers keep the file in office and tell client that they have applied and client start counting days as per lawyer's statement. Also if anybody has been victim of any CISC consultant, He/She can file a complaint reagarding that consultant. If you wanna complain about overcharged fees by any lawyer in Toronto or in all over Ontario, You can file a compalin against lawyer at Law Society of upper Canada (LSUC). Recently I was sucessfully able to get fee refund from lawyer because of this complaint procedure.

In the spirit with which this thread was started.... Latest nomination number is 698hi! last 3 digit is 698
I sent documents to AINP Begin of December. They ask me and my employer for additional documents on January and they recived last one on the end of february. I recieved F# on begin of February good luck!
Huge leap from the last reported nomination of 517. All those in between these file numbers should expect nominations very soon. Rejoice!!!
