Do we need to get both State, FBI & India Police Clearance ?

I mean Three PCC:
1. State
2. FBI
3. India PCC

Thanks for the response. The major bottleneck is getting PCC from India. They says to clear first stage, it would take 60 working days. its near to 3 months plus 2nd stage. Also I heared getting FBI certificate would take 16 to 18 weeks. Is it ok to get Indian PCC from India instead of Indian embassy over in US?

BB

States PCC wont take that long. FBI report might take up to 10 months. If you use livescan for fingerprints, you wont face any problem.
Hope this helps.

Hi All,

Nomination is valid for only 6 months. Getting all the PCC would take atleast 4 to 5 months. If some dept would not issue the PCC due to finger prints problem or some thing else, it might create a problem. Do you guys have any insight on this?

Thanks

BB

Can we also come up with Estimated Fee for all 3 Certificates.
This might help everyone. ppl from other countries must get individual country fee from consulate website.

Hi,

I received request for documents on 11/24/09, sent the details and now awaiting nomination.

To be prepared for the further process, can anyone (who has got nomination) give me answers to the following -

1) Do we need any covering letter from Alberta to proceed for State PCC, Home country PCC and FBI fingerprinting ?
2) Is fingerprinting necessary for both FBI and State PCC ?
3) Should we fill the CIC form after we get the PCC ? How long does it take for all PCCs?
4) Does the nomination packet contain any instructions to proceed further?
5) Are medicals necessary at this stage?
6) Do we have to submit bank statements along with CIC forms?

I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on these questions.

Thanks.

Hello yojo,
1-You have to put in the fingerprints form the reason of being frinterpronted. I sent PCC request for California and Michigan States, I wrote a simlple cover letter clerifying the need of PCC.
2- YES
3- Better if you enclose your PCC and FBI with the initial application.
4- YES
5- After AOR
6- would be better.
Good luck

I don't know why everyone is talking about PCC from states? You only need FBI. I have read that in so many other older posts that there is no need for state PCC. Also, here is the official link.
