Guys,

I just got off the phone with AINP to verify....You know what I mean. I asked them if the email requesting for pay stub and Visa/797 was a mass communication or something specific to cases they are working on. The good news is that the email was sent out to the cases they are currently working on.

Another thing I was told that they are picking the cases not only based on file numbers, but also based on the NOC codes.

Also preference will be given to candidates having job offers in hand.

Yes they have started issuing nomination !

Let's keep our finger crossed.

Did anyone with NOC:2174 get a request for documents?

Hi,

I applied under the NOC 2174 and received the request for documents today at 4:43 PM
The documents requested are as below
·         A copy of the candidate's most recent pay stub
·         A copy of the candidate's current and valid H1B visa or I-797 Notice of Approval
·         Details regarding any changes to the candidate's employment situation
·         Address update, if there have been any changes
·         Details regarding any changes to the candidate's family composition
·         Under the Program Evaluation section of our application form, a personal contact of the candidate should be provided rather than the authorized representative's name.

Please check my previous posts to get information on my timelines

Best Regards

Has any applicant before Feb 19th who is out of H1B Status gotten nomination?Huh??

Chinga Cowa Banga

Hello Chinga Banga,

I applied In Nov 2008 and received the invitation letter in Feb. I have received an RFE regarding my H1B renewal. But just today I received a mail requesting my documents. I don't know whether AINP will accept the receipt notice or not...........keeping my fingers crossed. Regarding being on a H1 status based on old or new process, is a grey area. It totally depends on the AINP folks as to what they think. Its luck I guess. But I hope and pray things work out for folks.

Best Regards

Hi Jasper,

I was reading about this old and new process and decided to go thru the mails sent and recvd from the law office. Below are the dates regarding the communication that took place

File submitted to AINP: Thursday 11/21/2008
Recvd mail regarding new application process instructions- AINP H-1B Stream from Law office: Tuesday 1/27/2009
Recvd mail stating that the prev mail, received on 1/27/2009 was sent in error and AINP has sent the invitation: Wednesday 2/24/2009

After this the timelines regarding application being sent and file number recvd etc are in my first post. I am still confused whether I fall under the old process or the new. Anyway, thank you and rest of the team who decided to set up the website containing the list of timelines, its really very helpful to get an idea of the duration. Thats a great effort by all of you and I am sure a very big help to all the folks who have applied under this category. Thank you very much. Guess its the right day to send thanks - its Thanksgiving here after all.

Best Regards
Gautam

Thank you, gautamkate.

Now I'm confident that you are under old process since your file was submitted to AINP in Nov 2008.

And I spoke with our law firm today regarding the documents requested by AINP last week (recent pay stub, I797, etc), and they said that the applicants who received doc request from AINP are now receiving nomination certificates and that mine should be coming in a day or two. So they said it's ok to start collecting PCC and send me the instruction.

I'll post once I hear anything good in the next couple of days.

Good Luck!

Hey Jasper, just wanted to inform you that I received the request for documents today (11/27/2009 4:43 pm). I guess you will be getting your's too. Keep a tab on your email since they want it ASAP. Inned to send my stuff by EOD Dec 1st. But then there is a catch. My H1 was up for renewal on 1st Sep (completed 5 years) but USCIS sent in an RFE, which has been replied to by my company here. I don't have any approval notice yet but have a receipt number, hope it works out for me and AINP accepts the receipt number. Anyway will keep you updated.

Best Regards

I'm glad to hear you got doc request.

I received the same email on Nov 19. Then I emailed all the docs to our law firm right away. I called the firm yesterday because I wanted to confirm everything went fine. They said all the documents had been sent to AINP on Nov 19, 7:20pm.

So I guess now it's time for us to wait for our nomination certificates!

And I'm sure your H1-B situation is fine since you just needed to have valid H1-B at the time of application, not at the time of nomination.

I'll post all the updates as soon as I get any.

Hi Jasper,
Good to hear about your case's progress.

And a friendly note:
To all folks who are processing through attorney: the time frame for responding back to AINP is very tight. Make sure you pester your attorney every day to ask them if they received any request for info (i.e. if they are receiving emails from AINP on your behalf). The last thing you want is to lose the window because of "attorney malfunction" !!

I'm glad to hear you got doc request.

Hi to All,

One of my friend got his nomination letter this week. He got it in on the verge of loosing his H1b.
His details
Old Process -File Number 640's - Noc 2171. Though he was old process they asked him to submit his paystub and h1b approval two weeks back.
He is planning to go back to India....so not sure where he his going to do the Federal part.

I also got the mail to submit my recent paystub and H1b approval.

My Friend got Nomination letter on 24th, he applied in Feb and got his File number on June 24th. NOC 2141. I think AINP is selecting the applications based on NOC and time of application. BTW anyone applied in May got their File# Huh I applied in may and have not receieved file# yet !!!

Who will make a list of those who have received nomination?

I'm working on it. I'll include Name, NOC, Appl Date, File#, File# Receipt Date, Doc Request Date, and Nomination Date in the list.

I'm also updating our timeline spreadsheet, but I need vsrao to finalize the updates.

Anyway, I'll post some kind of list here this weekend. Let me know if you have any suggestion.
