It seems that AINP is selecting applicants based on their NOC codes (although it may be too early to say).

As we see in this thread, the applicants with the following NOC are receiving email or call from AINP:
1111: Financial Auditors
2131: Civil Engineers
2132: Mechanical Engineers

Did anyone with other NOC receive email or call from AINP this week?

And the following codes are IT-related NOCs (which have already been removed from the list). The majority of applicants (probably more than 80-90%) have one of these NOCs and is still waiting for nominations.
0213: Computer and Information systems Manager
2147: Computer Engineers (Except Software Engineers)
2171: Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
2172: Database Analysts and Data Administrators
2173: Software Engineers and Designers
2174: Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
2175: Web Designers and Developers
2281: Computer and Network Operators
2283: Systems Testing Technicians

If anyone with these IT-related NOC receive email or call from AINP regarding nomination, please post. It will be worderful for a lot of people here to hear the news.

Jasper do you know when NOC 2173 was added on AINP job lists (It was though sadly removed on May 2009 along with all other IT related jobs)

One of my friend applied under  NOC 2171 even though he is software programmer back in Feb 2009.  Did he do so because there was no any NOC 2173 at that time (Feb 2009) ?

I checked AINP time sheet tracker created by Vs Rao and did not see any NOC 2173 on (applied on Jan  2009) and for feb saw 2 (applied end of Feb 2009) .

Thanks

yes I wanted to apply for AINP in Jan 2009 (but there were no IT NOCs allowed at that time). They were added in Feb 2009, I applied in March and the IT NOCs were removed in May 2009.

I know some people who couldn't apply under 2173 last Dec because 2173 was not in the list at the time. But I have the list which I printed out in early March and I see 2173 there. So 2173 was added to the list some time in Jan or Fab 2009 (Probably Feb like Jacaranda said).

But I believe 2171 and 213 (and probably other IT NOC codes, too) were in the list even before Feb 2009.

I applied in March '09 under NOC 1111 and received file number in August.

Hi Unique12,
I applied under NOC 1111 in July. I am confused if i fell under 1111 or not. What is your job description?
I worked as an accountant for the past 3 years and changed my job title to director of reimbursement for my H1b started past october in a home medical equipment company.
do i fall under 1111?
I supervise 25 employees, analyze cash flow, hire and fire, audit files to make we are complying with governement regulations, make changes to billing office...

please advise
thank you
