It looks like Alberta has started providing nominations again. Today I got a call from Alberta, they were enquiring about my latest paystub and all. They said, they will issue my nomination within a month or so. I applied my application in beginning of February and got my application number in March. So, cross your fingers, you guys will get notification from Alberta very soon.
That's a great news! What is your NOC code? I wonder if AINP is giving priority to applicants with certain NOC codes in nomination process.

I also received an email from AINP requesting my latest paystub and their exact words were Your application for nomination under the U.S. Visa Holder Category is in the final review process. At this time we require:
· A copy of your most recent pay stub
· Details regarding any changes to your employment situation
· Address update, if there have been any changes
· Details regarding any changes to your family composition
so I think the process is moving along now and everyone should be patient and have faith that things will work out.

Looks like they will first start issuing nominations for candidates from old process. My pre-assessment was done last November and I had applied in Jan and got file number in March. Hopefully they start issuing nominations soon

So are you under new process (no pre-assessment)? Did anyone with IT-related NOC receive the similar email or call from AINP?

I too got a similar e-mail but my file number is 8XX. Unfortunately I am back in India now due to loss of job and am unemployed. Not sure what AINP will decide. As per the rules when I had applied I just had to be in status at the time of application which was Jan. I lost my job in July and came back in August. Hopefully they issue my nomination as it has been a long painful wait

i think you should mention this in your email to them that you should be considered under January rules. There is an email from AINP posted by somebdy on this forum which confirms such situation.

I hope AINP start issuing nominations soon. I read am article somewhere where the immigration minister had said that Canada will take in 240000 to 265000 immigrants in 2010 and lot of preference will be given to provincial nominees!!!!

According to our timeline spreadsheet, Unique12 is a March applicant and received the email from AINP. Did anyone with IT occupations receive the email or call from AINP? I wonder if AINP is selecting applicants based on their NOC codes.
